Abstract

The third volume in the series Si l’opéra m’était dessiné, created by Guy Delvaux and Antonio Ferrara, Norma as a comic book represents a bold attempt to reimagine Bellini’s masterpiece in a new expressive dimension. Ferrara’s iconographic work is set in relation to the opera’s libretto, exploring the sources of inspiration and the visual outcomes, which are shaped by archaeological evidence.
