Abstract
Adelson e Salvini is Vincenzo Bellini’s first opera, performed at the Conservatory of San Sebastiano in Neaples in 1825. The two-cd and video recordings are based on a new critical edition which reconstructs the first Neapolitan performance and allows to understand the relationship between the young Bellini’s style and Rossini’s one and its novelties in the Italian semiseria opera.
