A hitherto unknown leaf from Bellini’s autograph full score of Beatrice di Tenda

Abstract
The author describes a hitherto unknown autograph leaf containing part of the «Coro d’armigeri» from Act One of Beatrice di Tenda. It is apparently a rejected leaf from Bellini’s full orchestral score, and contains music not found elsewhere. We know of no other recorded sketches for this number in the opera. Now in the British Library (BL MS Mus. 1810), this leaf is one of only two significant autograph manuscripts from a Bellini opera to be found in Britain.
