Abstract

In recent years, historical pianos have become more an essential component for the correct interpretation of music composed in the nineteenth century. The two recordings by Mironov and Barker are discussed under this particular perspective. Some interpretative choices are questioned in the light of new Bellini’s critical edition, as well as the reasons for chosen two different instruments.
